Carey Ransom

Carey Ransom is the Managing Director of BankTech Ventures, where he leads the charge and team providing strategic value for our participating banks, and backing the technology companies that make them more relevant and competitive. A SaaS entrepreneur, operator, and investor for more than 25 years, Carey has founded or led eight B2B and consumer software companies. He has served as President of Operate, COO of Aspiration (which he helped scale from 20 to 200 employees), CEO of RealPractice (acquired by ReachLocal), Chief Product and Innovation Officer at Experian Consumer Services, and founding CMO at Happy Money. Along the way he has recruited and hired hundreds of people and remains an active mentor and guest lecturer across Southern California's schools and startup community. Carey still draws many of his business lessons from growing up in his family’s 100+ year old family retail business, working alongside his father and grandfather.
